Reflections on the Ewha Campus Complex
After three years of construction, the Ewha Campus Complex has finally revealed its completed form. Dominique Perrault’s design solution of creating a large underground space through architecture hidden in the landscape has been transformed into reality. It is those who will use the ECC that will have to weigh the benefits of the enormous landscape architecture.

On the occasion of the 2008 Olympics, Beijing is receiving worldwide
attention. It is difficult to define this constantly-changing city by using a single dimension. In this feature, in relation to the various urban issues that have arisen, we ask from which cultural trend and philosophical background the large-scale projects of Beijing have derived, and in which direction the city’s urban fabric and open spaces will evolve.
