With The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City and the Linked Hybrid in Beijing recently being respectively awarded first and third place in Time Magazines article ‘10 Best Architectural Marvels', the singular vision of Steven Holl and his offices has begun to achieve widespread recognition. El Croquis presents a selection of 19 works and projects, some unrealised, produced between 2003 and 2008, which demonstrate the depth of the office's approach. Alongside the two above-mentioned projects, other highlights include: The ‘Nail Collector's' and ‘Writing with Light' Houses; The New Residence at the Swiss Embassy, Washington; The NYU Department of Philosophy renovation; and the Vanke Center, Shenzhen, China  still under construction. All projects are generously illustrated with full page photographs, sketches, technical drawings and introductory texts.
