C3 283: FARM HOUSES IN TRANSITION

In certain regions buildings once traditionally used for farming activities are now being turned into luxurious residential houses. Five projects are presented here, including works by SeARCH, Onix and Localarchitecture. Additionally, six projects by FAR (Frohn & Rojas) are examined including their well received ‘Wall House'. All projects are documented with photographs, plans, elevations and introductory texts. A section exploring nine country entries for the World Exposition Shanghai 2010 is also featured.
