C3 281: MEMORIAL

The designs of five recently completed memorials are examined in this issue, including: ‘Women in the Memory' in Chile by Ofiscina de Arquitectura; the Women's Jail precinct in Johannesburg by Kate Otten Architects, the '11 March Memorial for the Victims', Madrid by FAM Arquitectura y Urbanismo SLP and David Adjaye's Nobel Peace Center project in Oslo. All are accompanied by photographs, plans, details and elevations. Additionally a number of the inspiring designs and installations of Madrid based Brut Deluxe are examined.
