Unique architecture While housing has been and still is the strong point that transmits the vitality of architecture in a certain historical period of a country, unique architecture alludes to a more unusual type that responds to exceptional necessities of urban life and allows distinguishing the more noticeable traits of its appearance. The promoters and clients of this kind of architecture are very important and the media’s expression of this unique architecture favours the feedback of new architectonical goals that offer efficient spaces, eloquent images and sublime testimonies. Some especially successful examples, displayed in this book, seek to convince through the silence, voices and reasons to be heard and understood for a long time. Fleeting time is especially cruel with the unique architecture that resembles loud and fussy actors. Here Picasso’s paradox could be applied: “I don’t seek, but find”.
