Miquel Espinet and Antoni Ubach are one of the most solid and respected partnerships in the past thirty years, and are virtually household names in Spain. The narration they propose lies on mannual drawings, which both Miquel and Antoni, made during the different stages of the process, well during the conception of the projects as along the construction of the featured architectures. An exhibition assisted with the usual descriptive writings and with the instant look of the photographer contained in the pictures. Drawings which, with the typical attention of Editorial Pencil, have been completely redrawn, to give a homogeneous line weight to all of the projects, and the pictures that somehow return to the paper the architectures that had already started their journey.
The storyline of this monograph, is extended by the theoretical writing, "Projecting is thinking, watching and drawing", widely developed by Antoni Ubach, and which reveals the soul of the studio ESPINET/UBACH, manifested along the extensive life of this partnership. It is not possible to think if the hand does not emphasize the drawing, nor evading the judgement of the look that brings it back to the mind thus closing a circuit that happens once and again. But these architectures, exposed, would not happen whitout the trust of some clients, they would not happen either without the contribution of several constructors who were able to materialize them basing on our projects. Gratitude to them is a must of realism, that magnifies the architectural fact.
