Présentation de l'éditeur :
Volume 12 in the series of publications on the Novartis Campus in
Basel in dedicated to the laboratory building by Japanese architect
Tadao Ando (*1941). Situated prominently at the end of the important
main axis, the building completes the Campus to the north. Ando, who
describes himself as a self-taught architect, was awarded the Pritzker
Prize in 1995 for his numerous buildings worldwide. His first building
outside Japan was built in 1993 in Weil am Rhein, the Vitra conference
pavilion.
The book contains, among other things, texts by Francesco Buzzi and
Ulrike Jehle-Schulte Strathaus, a photo-essay by Johannes Marburg and
ample plans. It also has a comprehensive inventory.
